Completed goodman air handler and heat pump installation. Installed 10 kw heat kit in air handler. Adapted to existing ductwork, line set, electrical, ran new vinyl tubing to tap in customers drain. Replaced condensate pump and ran pvc drain from coil to pump. Replaced thermostat with Honeywell t4. Outside replaced disconnect box, whip, and pad. Cycled and tested, system working properly at this time.
Performed air duct cleaning and sanitation. All vents and ductwork are clear of dust and debris at this time. Unit is functioning properly at this time. Recommend duct cleaning every 2-3 years. Unable to perform dryer vent cleaning due to weather. Dryer vent is about 25 ft up. Cannot do it from the inside because the outside is visible clogged and has a chicken wire cover. Will have to reschedule ASAP.
This is a return visit for an intermittent problem with a water heater. Found that the pilot would barely light this time. Got to light once but then would not light any other time I tried. Recommend replacement of the burner assembly as well as the gas valve assembly to cover all the bases of what has failed during diagnostic. Will need to order parts and follow up with customer on final price. Water heater is not functioning at this time. No charge for a return visit.
Customer called for water heater pilot not staying lit. This seem to be happening after customer would be light and heat the tank to its hot temperature after the full cycle is done the pilot would go out. Upon inspection I found that the thermocouple for the pilot assembly was covered in carbon. Cleaned up the carbon coding and relit water heater. After ran for a certain amount of time I then turned it back to the on position so would not heat but the pilot should stay on. The pilot stayed lit without issue. Water heater is operating properly at this time. Customer would also like to schedule a return to have air-conditioning maintenance done on the main part of the house not the Inlaw suite.
Customer expressed that the air conditioning unit was on but not cooling the house. After connecting my pressure gauges I noticed that the system had no refrigerant charge. The customer explained that the condenser was hit by a large icicle. See photo. I recommend a pressure test or full replacement.
Performed preventative maintenance for a Lennox system. Checked drain pan and drain line for any possible clogs. Checked the evaporator and condenser coils for buildup. Checked all electrical components needed for air conditioning. The temperature split is a 19. The system is operating properly at this time and is ready for the summer season. No Charge FWI.
Performed air duct cleaning and sanitation. All vents and ductwork are clear of dust and debris at this time. Unit is functioning properly at this time. Recommend duct cleaning every 2-3 years. Performed dryer vent cleaning. Dryer vent, duct and lint trap are all clear of lint and debris at this time. Dryer is functioning properly at this time. Recommend dryer vent cleaning every 1-2 years. Thank you for your business!
Performed preventative maintenance for 2 air conditioning systems. The main house unit is in the basement and then the second unit for the den and living room is in the attic above the garage. The main house system air filter was replaced in the fall (Merv 16 16x25x5). Attic system the customer replaced the filter recently (14x25x1). Inspected all the electrical components. Inspected the drain lines and condensate pump. Drains are clear and pump is working as it should. Tested the amp draw from the compressor, blower and fan motor. All are operating within manufacturer spec. Tested the temperature split between the supply and return. The main house unit had a 20° differential and the attic system had a 19° differential. Both system are operating properly at this time.
Replacing clogged reversing valve
Customer called about having a burning smell coming out of the supply vents in the home. Upon inspection I found no issue with the furnace. Performed a combustion analysis to make sure heat exchanger was in good condition. Had a CO level of 12ppm which is well within normal operation range. Found not smell while I was present in the home. Found no blockage in the intake or exhaust piping. Customers furnace does have a hole cut into the opposite side from where the return duct is in the blower compartment. I have no idea why someone cut a hole there. The hole has a board covering it and is taped. Make sure that panel stays closed/taped at all times or dirt will cause system issues. I believe a piece of dirt burned on top of the heat exchanger. This could be due to the ducts being very dirty. Recommend whole house duct cleaning to improve indoor air quality and prevent this from happening in the future. Attached to this invoice will be an estimate for the duct cleaning. System is operati
Performed preventative maintenance for air conditioning system. Replaced the standard air filter (18x20x1). Inspected all the electrical components. Inspected both the indoor and outdoor coils. Replaced the #64x56 UV bulb. Inspected the condensate drain for any blockage. Drain is clear at this time. Tested amp draw from the compressor and fan motor. Both are operating within manufacturer spec. Customer has had the contactor and capacitor updated at some point recent. Tested the temperature differential and pressures within the system. Air conditioning unit is operating properly at this time.
