Completed a combustion analysis and the CO PPM was 0. Homeowner stated he had already replaced #35 water panel for humidifier and does not need the humidifier service at this time. Customer called for heat on the 2nd floor not working. Upon inspection I found the breakers off in the garage for the furnace. Customer is the new homeowner and didn't know where the breakers to the attic system was. Showed him the location and system came on without issue. Attic furnace is operating without issue at this time. Charged for service call since no work was needed to be performed just showing location and turning on breaker.

Preseason maintenance on Lennox heat pump system. Replaced the 20x25x1 air filter. Inspected evaporator coil and indoor blower assembly. Verified all (4) circuits are working on the 20KW electric heat strip. Inspected outdoor unit and controls. The air filter had a lot of build up of dust and debris. Recommend adding a whole house air purifier to prevent mildew growth on coil and ductwork and to also kill airborne bacteria and viruses within the home. Otherwise heat pump system is working and ready for the season.

No heat call back, thermostat is operating properly, furnace was throwing out lock out code. Reset furnace, burners lit then shut off right away. Pulled flame sensing rod and cleaned it. Tested and cycled furnace 3 times. Furnace turned on and off properly each time. Noticed a little bit of oil on suction line going into evaporator coil, told customer to monitor performance of AC next year just in case there is a possible refrigerant leak at that location.

Came out today to look at a carrier system. When I arrived the homeowner had explained that the system was not operating at all. Upon inspection the system started without hesitation. The temperature split was at a 8. I connected my gauges and noticed that the system was about 3lbs low on R-22. I explained to the homeowner that the system was charged with 3lbs on nu-22 last year and it's low again and there is probably a leak in the system. The homeowner wants to move forward with a new system.

Came out today for for a system that wasn't cooling properly. Upon inspection I found that zone 1 dampener was stuck closed even though the system was calling for air. I was able to open the dampener. I tested the system by turning off the air in zone 1 and the dampener was stuck open. My recommendation is to replace the dampener for zone one since it keeps getting stuck. I currently have it open so the homeowner can have ac in zone 1 until we can replace the dampener.
