Performed preventative maintenance for a Lennox furnace model #sl280uh090v36b-03, serial #5915D00606. Upon arrival the system was on and calling for heat. I took a combustion analysis test and received the following readings 02 is at 11.9% and the co levels are 7ppm. The supply temp is at 108°F and the inducer motor and blower motor amp draws are within the manufacture specs. I powered the system down and removed the access panel. Removed and cleaned carbon off of the flame sensor and cleaned out the burners and burner box. The blower and blower wheel are clean and in good condition. I re installed the panels and powered the system back up. I let the system run for a bit to ensure that there are no issues. The system is operating properly at this time.

Customer called due to gas furnace not working within the home. This home is up for sale and somebody is in the process to be buying it. Found pilot lit but no action. Adjusted the thermostat and got it to turn over. Shortly after getting it to run enough to test I found multiple issues that are not fixable due to the age of the unit and inaccessible parts. I found the blower motor wouldn’t turn over and the gas valve was shorting out during the short heat cycle. At this time there’s nothing chud can do to get the unit functioning properly as well as safely. We recommend replacing the unit as the as the only safe and viable option to get the home heating again. I tired all possibilities to get it running in a safe manor but 2 major components are not operation and due to system age are next to impossible to find. Per RC we are waiving the service fee and at this time only willing to present a replacement estimate. I will forward the information to one of our advisors to follow up with

Came out to inspect gravity drain as well as drain pans for proper drainage. Found no issue with the gravity drains after observing operation for a while. What was in the attic drain pan was some residual water from suction line sweating. The PVC male adapter mounted to the drain pan is about an 1/8 inch from the bottom. No matter what this pan won’t fully drain. Most water will drain though. If an inch of water fills the pan then it’s an issue. System is operating properly at this time. No further work needs to be done. No charge for visit per the office.

On arrival visually saw refrigerant lines frozen leading to the condenser on the roof. To access the roof we would need (2) guys and a 40’ ladder. Today we found (2)-16x20x2 pleated filters that were blocked. The customer had (2) new filters on site. We shut the unit down because there is no conductor for the fan only operation. I advised the customer to leave the unit off for 24 hours and then start it up tomorrow with clean filters. We also looked at the drain which runs from the 3rd floor down the inside of the building and it was draining. The customer is going to start the unit up tomorrow and call back if replacing the filters did not correct the problem. Indoor unit is from 1989, so it’s likely the condenser is as well. Collected diagnostic charge for coming out to access the system. Any issues with refrigerant charge would require updating equipment. Brand Unknown M#GHC 100A-4, S#891113244. Filter-(2) 16x20x2 pleated. ****We will wait to hear back from customer to determine
